Dark Field microscopes

Dark field contrast is typically used for non-colored samples. The image shown has the appearance of a dark, almost black background, with illuminated-toned objects, creating very recognizable images. These objects, since they are not painted, are difficult to observe in bright filed contrast. The applications of dark field are mainly in biological samples, tissue culture smears, single-celled organisms etc. In previous years, dark field microscopy was limited due to low light levels. Euromex has overcome this issue by developing very powerful lighting methods without damaging the specimens.
